Nipissing First Nation Bingo is well known past time to our community and neighboring communities. The bingos continue to be held three times per week; Sunday’s, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. Six members are employed during the scheduled bingos; a Supervisor, Canteen Worker, Cashier, Caller and two runners. The runner positions provide the students not just with an opportunity for employment throughout the school year, it also provides them with personal skills that can be transferrable to other suitable employment.
This past spring the Bingo Panel Committee reviewed the total bingo’s to be held throughout the year and all the charities written requests for assistance. The bingo’s are then allocated to the charities based on the purpose and the amount of funding they require for their organization. The charities are still required to have a volunteer runner at their bingo, if they do not this is deducted from the profits of that bingo. The profits made have been used to assist with the following programs:

The bingo staff is always looking at ways to improve, to increase customer attendance, and to acknowledge the patrons for their support. One of many of the acknowledgements, the staff to show their appreciation held an egg hunt this past Easter and all that were in attendance participated. The patrons loved that this little event was held, with laughter and excitement searched for the eggs and that evening six eggs were found and those patrons received a gift.
