Fire Protection

Garden Village has a volunteer fire department that services the areas from Garden Village to VLA.  They also serve as back up for other communities of Nipissing First Nation.  The volunteer fire fighters continue to receive ongoing training and have regular meetings to provide our fire fighters the opportunity for additional training and maintenance of equipment.

Fire protection agreements have been entered into with the Jocko Point Fire Department and the City of North Bay to service other communities of Nipissing First Nation.
The plans for the Fire Department cover looking at options of a New Fire Hall to serve the east end of our First Nation.
