Food Bank

Nipissing First Nation Food Bank provides food and clothing to residents of Nipissing First Nation who are in need.

Our Objectives...

Helping our community
Our most important objective is helping everyone that walks through our doors. Individuals and Families have access to food that will help them through a week of meals.

Provide Healthy Meals
We supply families with a wide variety of canned, fresh, and frozen foods. Kids’ lunches are provided for a week, as well as breakfast. With the help of donations we also have a baby food cupboard available. Baby food, pabulum, formula, diapers are provided free of charge to residents of Nipissing First Nation.

Providing Wild Meat
Fish and wild game are provided to families and elders of the community upon availability. We greatly appreciate all the local hunters and fishers for their generous donations.

Provide Clothing & Household Items
We have a selection of clothing for everyone. Families are welcome to look through the selection of gently used clothes that are available.

Fundraising & Donations
In 2008-2009 the Food Bank hosted a number of movie nights, donation bins and community events, staff food challenges, a $1000 Draw and a BBQ Raffle. We also benefited from the participation of the West Nipissing Food Drive. Many of our youth volunteered at this event.
